Separation By Six

This world is a very small place to live in, Yes every human being is separated from another by just six or fewer links. links or degree of separation basically refers to the social links between one another, for example you and your friend are separated by one degree, and you are separated from your friend of friend by two degrees. Its like friend of friend you’ve seen on Facebook and other social networks and according to Facebook, the true number, referring to intermediaries or to links, is either 3.57 or 4.57 degrees of separation. Well according to another calculation 78 per cent, could be connected by just 6.6 messages or steps. Well, i believe that you have seen LinkedIn, it also notifies you about degrees of connection. if you still haven’t noticed it yet, then go and see it.

It all started from an experiment by Dr. Stanley Milgram in 1967, when a few hundred people tried to forward a letter to a particular person somewhere by sending it through the links or people they knew personally. and amazingly About a third of the letters reached their destination, after an average of six mailings.

A no of experiments have been done up-till now, some experiments prove that the six degrees of separation is a fact, while many people believe that it is just a myth.

What i was thinking is that Donald Trump is six degrees from me, so can i be invited for a dinner at white house ?
